I left the fishing industry in 1995 due to the pressures and harrasment of the NMFS and the Coast Guard. Our boats large and small would be boarded constantly coming in or out of Shinnecock Inlet....When we would steam offshore to the Hudson Canyon we would be shadowed by the CG and usually boarded while towing our gear....I could see the handwrighting on the wall and the Fulton Fish market was screwing us as much as possible too....

We were treated like criminals constantly by the CG boarding us with their sidearms and m-16s....I left the industry that I loved and now I'm stuck in the printing industry for the past 16 years (boring) but it pays the bills.....

NMFS and the CG are complicit in ruining mens' lives...and most of the men who are still in Shinnecock are ruined men...they just don't realize it...fuel oil is at an all time high, and you cant catch enough legally to pay for fuel

Your Government at work.....there is a special place in hell for them.....
